Fog Light Bezel Removal

THOUGHT i WOULD PASS THIS ON. For those of you, like me, that would like those ugly grey fog light benzels painted to match your Camaro's body color, I found these easy to follow removal instructions. I haven't tried it yet, but it sure looks simple.

Yes, I figure something that small, and located in a place that is not easily scrutinized, I would do it myself.

I had a Heritage grille, and they come unpainted, that I took to my local body shop. They wanted $80 just to paint it. I could just imagine what they would charge to paint the benzels.

I could understand you wanting to paint them if your Camaro was White, Orange, Synergy Green, or even Yellow like mine is, but your car is Black...they can't be as noticeable on your car as lighter colored cars.

Thank you thought for the post, it's nice to see how to remove them if desired.

True, they are not as noticeable on a black car as they would be on the other colors you mentioned, but they are not black, they are a dull/flat dark grey. I want 'em to SHINE !!!!!

Where did you get the plastic removal tool? I have been looking for a nice set of these for a while with no luck. Thanks for the informative post.

I bought a second set of bezels and took them in to a paint shop to have them painted gloss black. The shop indicated that the paint would still look flat because of the texture and that the paint would be susceptable to chips and peeling. He recommended finding a smooth bezel (non-chrome, as the paint will not stick as well to the chromed parts).

Not sure if there is a smooth bezel, or one that is already available as gloss black?
