Does anyone know any companies that stock the LS9 clutch that works for the LS3?

I know Katech makes one, but they seem to be the only one. They like to upcharge their parts and I really don't want to pay 1599 for a clutch...

Ideas?

To be totally honest, that really isn't a bad price for a twin disk 700whp capable clutch that drives like stock. You might check Lingenfelter, but all of the LS9 clutch options require a "custom" flywheel set up for 6-bolt cranks.

You can always check out the ACT twin disc clutch system. Intro pricing and description is available here:

Street sytem, smooth engagement, forged chrome-moly 14.2lb flywheel, and 850lb/ft capacity!

Yeah, that's why I was looking at the ACT one. I'm interested in one that can handle the torque vs. rwhp.

Katech and Lingenfelter are the only ones I'm aware of with adapted LS9 clutch kits.

Maybe I need to clarify what you're getting for $1559.99.
-CNC-machined neutral balanced rebuildable aluminum flywheel with steel insert
-LS9 clutch assembly (pressure plate and disks)
-Pressure plate bolts
-New slave cylinder
-CNC-machined slave cylinder spacer

We don't like to "upcharge" for parts. We try to price things as competitively as possible and still stay in business. As Dsteck said $1500 is an average price for a twin disk clutch with this kind of capacity.

Katech and Lingenfelter are the only two that make this type of kit. The difference with the Lingenfelter kit is that it comes with a steel flywheel and is more expensive.

I installed the Lingenfelter clutch.. It is nice and smooth. Feels as light as the stock clutch as for pedal movement. It grabs like the stock clutch never did.
No chatter what so ever.

A nice upgrade and it should cure "the pedal stayed on the floor" problem.
