You can continue to play "devils advocate" all you want. Removing more stuff then you need to just gives you the oppertunity of messing up more stuff. Even if you remove just the plugs and leave the bulbs in the headlight, you have the chance of messing up those plugs, or dropping that headlight when you pull it out (which might smash the bulbs), plain and simple.

I had aftermarket turn signals for 5 months. You're right, that's why I put my stock back in. I got sick of replacing bulbs!

That is why I didn't get rid of my stock ones. I have them as a back up
