Getting the ZL1 out again in spring

It was quite a pleasure getting the ZED out again yesterday. Lots of comments and thumbs up at lights. The exhaust, the vibrations, the drive was quite a rush. When i opened the door to get out, i was surprised at heat dissipating from underneath. Felt like opening a hot oven
How was your experience for those who are getting their cars out of hybernation ??

I haven't got mine out yet but I can't wait. Still just getting above 40 degrees during the day here and still too much salt and sand on the roads.

Same here, but we have rain tomorrow and 50s in the forecast. Hopefully it will clean the roads enough to take out next week.

40 f. = 4.5 C.
Must be careful of the pot holes. Car handled itself well on our poor and cracked roads. Makes the ZED more ideal then a Z28 for daily driving.

Forty degrees still kinda cold for those tires. Must of been spinning them with ease. I'm taking mine out today, 55 right now at noon time and I know I'll still have to go easy for a half hour or so to let the tires warm up. She hasn't been out in three weeks, but the forecast keeps looking better and better! Last time out in the forties and she swayed her hips like a dancer, tire grip was minimal. ZED you say, I always here the British using that term/word.

Mine is still in hybernation. It was snowing until yesterday afternoon. It will probably be another week or two till the salt is washed off IF the snow is done now. I may get the GTO out though.

Put the tires back on last night, going to put her back on the ground tonight. The last six months almost feels like it did last year waiting for the car to get built. Wife has said I've spent more time in the garage the last month looking at my car than did spending time with her. Maybe 50 here in Wisconsin tomorrow!

Weekend is calling for low to mid 50's here but the amount of sand on the streets in my subdivision is insane! The main roads arent as bad due to traffic pushing the sand to the gutter lines, still on the fence about taking the Z out............... not to mention I didnt get around to making my front rock / mud gaurds yet, have all the materials to do so. Could be tomorrow mornings project

Mine is still sleeping. should be warm enough tomorrow but still a lot of salt on the road and chance of rain in the afternoon. I will leave her sleep a couple more weeks and use this weekend to get the sleds all set for summer storage.

I think I've driven mine in every kind of weather except hail and temperatures from 10 and up to 105 degrees. No garage queen here!
