Hole in Bumper

I posted this in the bodywork section. I figured I may have a better chance of a reply by re-posting to the general area too.
I must have driven over something like a cardboard campaign poster with a metal bracket the other day since today I saw a piece of the metal bracket sticking out of my from bumper. It left a single hole about a quarter inch in diameter. The hole is in the lower part of the front bumper just to the lower left of the license plate when looking at the front of the car.

What's the best way to fill and patch the hole so that I can paint it with my touch up paint?

I personally would use a high quality plastic body filler. As a matter of fact I did. I had the same problem. I didn't touch up just that area with the base coat. You cannot see the repair and shines better than the original paint. My car is black and you sti can't see the repair. It's all about the prep. Get the prep right and the paint will come out nice. You could use base coat clear coat and use some blender to blend the clear. Most likely you will have to sand and polish the blends area since the original clear coat I think is 2k clear. I'm not a professional painted, I do it as a hobby.

Here are two pictures of the hole in the front bumper. The first pictures shows its position relative to the front license plate. The second picture is a close up of the hole.

Where can I purchase a "high quality plastic body filler"? Is it applied as a paste or is it sprayed on? Would epoxy work as well?

I tried to see if I could get to the other side of the hole but I would have to disassemble some of the front end to get there. I'd prefer if I'd be able to fill it from the outside. As many coats as necessary before using touch-up paint to complete the job.

Thanks,
Doug
