Timing Bushings - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey Guys,

I am having trouble finding an alignment shop that will time my bushings, or that even knows what it means. Is there a different term/terminology I should use? Also I have the below that I found in this section:

Step 1. Lift the car on a two post lift and raise it.

Step 2. Loosen the following bolts/nuts:
Front:
---Inner Control Arm Bushing
---Inner Radius Rod
Rear:
---Trailing Arm Bushings (both ends)
---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends)
---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner)
---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward)
---Lower Strut Bushings

Step 3.
Lower the car and drive it around the parking lot SLOWLY and on to the alignment lift.

Step 4.
With the weight of the car on the wheels tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec.

Step 5.
Align the car at the new ride height.

Is this what needs to be done for a basic lowering spring install bushing/alignment? Can anybody send me pics of the suspension for the 2013 that shows the bolts/bushings that need to be timed? Thanks a lot for any help guys!!

On the 1LE, don't worry about the toe rods as they have spherical bearings in them. Also, if you have any aftermarket bushings in any of those arms, they do not need to be timed as the inner ferrule should spin freely within the bushing.

Here's a question... Apologize if I'm thread jacking. What if you've installed your bushings a while (beginning of summer) back would it make sense to time your bushing at this late in game? Curious?

Aftermarket bushings have a ferrule that spins freely within them and do not need to be indexed. It's only the factory bushings that are bonded together. But yes, it would still be worth it to time factory bushings after lowering even a few months down the road.
