How hard is it. . .

to find a first, second, or third generation Camaro/Firebird one can actually afford?
Or trade for?
(Hah--I will trade photograpy work if I could find anybody willing to take me up on it. But alas, former newspaper photographers do not make much money.)
Seriously, I'm finding it harder and hard to wait until the new Camaro comes out, and I've never owned a Camaro.

Late second gens and pretty much all third gens are really affordable in So Cal. 72 and lower are the expensive ones.

I wouldn't even think about finding a 1st Gen. 2nd Gen? They are out there...just not as hard to find as 1st Gens. They still hard to find, though!

3rd Gens...wouldn't know. Never searched for them for sale.

4th Gens? There are still a lot out there...best time to look is at the beginning of winter...when a lot of the Camaros are put up for the winter season...people are making payments on them and are also paying INS on them... That's how I got mine for a steal. But yeah...lots of 4th Gens out there. And, you can find some deals....just remember...a 4th Gen that is too good to be true (like really low price) probably is. There's a lot of ragged out 4th Gens out there...for really cheap.

For some reason, a 3rd gen Camaro costs about the same as it's contemporary Corvette (C4). I would choose a TPI Corvette over a ragged 3rd gen Camaro any day.

1st GEN Dam near impossible…

2nd GEN 70-73 Very Difficult,

2nd GEN 74 Difficult

2nd GEN 75-81 getting harder by the minute…

3rd GEN Not to hard but growing in popularity.

4th GEN A dime a dozen… And you can usually find a low miles Z or SS at reasonable prices.

It comes down to how much you want to spend. The higher up the list the higher the price…

first gens you can find but you can get a 5th gen for the same price
2nd gen lol I have one for sale lol.
3rd gens are right about from under 1k to about 5k depending on how nice it is.
4th gens are a few k to up to about 15k now.

as for corvettes you cant touch a c1 or c2 (just like the 1st gen camaros)
c3s you can get pretty cheap sometimes under 10k
c4s run for about5k-about 15
c5 still run around 15-25
c5 you can get for about 30k
