Maybe you went a little to extensive with it.
Mine I got the front fascia, side mirrors, front fenders, A pillars, and a portion of the Hood, and it came out awesome. My installer was top notch though and you really have to get down close to see it with my color.
Maybe your guy was a rookie...
Hope you work it out though, it sucks when you spend a lot of money on something you love and your expectations aren't meant...

1Blwn/LE, who did your Expel? I have a yellow 2SS, and if it comes out like ghost rider I'm definitely not having it done. Way too noticeable, I'll just do Opti Coat as an alternative. My care gets so dusty so quick as it is and those seems with a little dust in them will drive me NUTs!! Let me know please.

I also got the part for the Z28 splitter. First time on the ZL1 I did it in 5 hours, the second time I did it in 3
Are you also considering adding Xpel down the sides?

I just got a ZL1 and will be adding Xpel and Opti-Coat real soon.

My car is Victory Red and the lines aren't quite as noticeable as that. But mine has the exact same cuts from the plotter. I couldn't get good enough pics with my iphone is my garage right now. It's night and too dark for me to get comparable shots.
I was also hoping the edges could be rolled, but it sounds like that isn't without its problems. Also, from my understanding, the badge cut outs have slack because there is variation among our cars on the exact placement of the badge. Unless you want the guy to debadge your car and then put the badges back on top of the film, there is nothing you can do. I wouldn't go that route. The other option is to let someone cut the film right on the car, but I've heard horror stories from that with cuts into the paint.
I understand what you mean though. I wanted it invincible. But for what it does, it's an incredible product that will save your paint. You're the only one going to notice these lines. I usually forget about mine except when I'm putting the sealant on it. It beats the alternative, chipped up paint!
Good luck and I hope you're able to find a solution that makes you happy.

This is an old photo I found from last summer. You can see that seam near the head light.

Wow!

Ghost you have every right to be pissed. That needs to be redone if you didn't expect it to look like that. No way that would fly on a 100k+ car IMO!

For me, it passes the test of invisible from a reasonable distance (3 feet). My friends never even see it and just think the car looks bad ass.

Not really... it looks good to me. I'd say the install is very good. Those tiny seams are a whole lot better than the giant chips and scrapes the film will now protect you from.

I had my wifes Audi A4 Sline and my jeep SRT completely covered , and lights and a special windscreen as well and was about 9k AUD.
its saved my car from lots of chip and has a warranty for yellowing .

The only negative i have notices is the tar from the road looks to be staining the film, i need to go back in and see the guys about that.

peace of mind is worth it.
