Brake caliper paint?

Wondered how to prep whatever the material is for the brake calipers? Use brake cleaner only or lightly sand?

If you get a G2 caliper paint set it comes with everything you need. But I believe you need to clean with brake cleaner and then sand and such, but I'm not sure.

That's what I used. It has the brake cleaner in it. Cover up the hoses and stuff you don't want the spray to get on, hose it down, then wipe it down with an old t shirt. I didn't sand anything. Turned out great. Do all four at the same time, when you get done do another coat starting over with the caliper you started with. It really settled down flat and shiny.

I didn't sand and it came out great. Nor did I stop between coats but the time spent between calipers was enough to dry. I went from one wheel to the next until I made about 2 complete rounds and used my third to touch up any areas. I used the G2 paint. If you're getting it, yes the paint provided is more than enough to paint your calipers [you're not asking now but you will later].
