Trying to start a thread for Phoenix area muscle car people.

I was wondering if anyone goes to PHX area informal car show "get togethers." I like to go to the Pavilions (there's a show each Saturday from about 5 -9 pm). The earlier you get there, the easier it is to park. The Pavilions is a shopping mall just west of Loop 101 and Indian Bend (Scottsdale). Food and drink available, bring a chair. The show is held in the parking lot south of Home Depot around McDonald's/Denny's. There are specific areas marked off for different kinds of cars - you'll be surprised. It gets real interesting just before Barret/Jackson each year. Lot of fun, lot's of interesting cars and a good way to meet car enthusiasts. If I'm there, look for my car (09 Inferno Red Challenger, it's the one in my signature block - plate is the Freedom plate, AZ MSCL, my name is Russ). Also willing to go elsewhere in the valley. If you're interested, please let me know or just come up and say hi if you see me. Looking forward to meeting fellow muscle car nuts.

Another Saturday night weekly meet is at 83rd Ave and Beardsley in the Safeway parking lot. It generally starts around dinner time/sundown and goes until 9 or 10.

On Friday nights there is another west side meet at 91st Ave and Northern behind the Autozone. Usually has the same time frame (5pm to 10pm).

Russ - I have seen you driving around. I saw you at the air park Napa a while back and driving on the 101 and exiting at Pima I believe.

I heard 83rd and Beardsley was shut down. Anyone have any confirmation on that?

I have seen some nice cars of various models/years at the Target car park in Fountain Hills, on Sunday from noon onwards.

I'm in Glendale area, saw an orange SS at Arrowhead Mall today and a Yellow SS at Union Hill and 59. I'm driving a white SS with solid stripe.
