I'll look into the Borla System as well. I'm currently debating between the MBRP and Magnaflow.....and now the Borla S
If you can see it... try this link. The installer I use posted this..

CAI intake, Kooks LT, Borla S.

Only issue is a bit of drone at 70-75 mph, but you can shift your way around it. Not unbearable.

And, you're right if you have the technology that removes the drone you have to sacrifice the sound and vice versa. I have not seen or heard any comparable sound that does not have the drone.
My car has zero drone since adding j pipes

I like the deeper, throaty sound of my friends MBRP, and i've been told the Magnaflo is similar.

question is can i achieve a different pitch with the same exhaust by adding headers or high-flow cats in front of the current exhaust? Or will it just amplify the same pitch?
listen to mine in my sig i think it sounds great with my lth

It took me many tries to find the sound I wanted which was a smoooth low rumble without that metallic sound. Found it in the Borla. They likely have the biggest mufflers out there (for the G8 anyway) and it does a great job of smoothing out that metallic-like "clatter".

If you haven't already, check out the Borla vids done by the guy at Borla where they test their different systems on the Camaro. It'll be on youtube but you might be able to link to it from borla.com ... that will help you decide if the Borla sound is for you or not.

Seriously, is there really a BAD sounding exhaust for our cars??? I'm in the market for a system myself and I am about to go crazy trying to decide. I have heard them all and have not really heard a bad one yet, I guess now it is just a matter of picking. Rock, paper, scissors anyone???

Yeah. I've been hearing about this J pipe stuff. The best way to get rid of drrone is not to drive under 3k rpm. I'm never past 4th. gear so unless driving very long distances on a rare occassion I don't worry about the drone.

Most of the time it just sounds like this anyway.

It's not that there is a bad exhaust, its just more of a personal taste.

I don't like the raspyness and the tone of Corsa or the Borla Atak. I prefer a deep low rumble like a traditional muscle car which is why I ordered the Borla S.

I have no drone at any rpm. And no way I'm gonna set there and hold my car at 3k rpm everywhere I go bc I'm scared of my drone.

And on another note corsa exhaust on a camaro or mustang for that matter no longer sounds like a muscle car. It really starts sounding foreign!
