"Old farts" sure is full of conciderate people. Never experienced that before. HotRodSally asked me in a PM where I had been and I figured I would answer her here on thread as well so everyone else knows what a sweetie she is (if they didn't know already) and to let anyone else interested know wazup.
I have just been a little preoccupied with work (lightning damaged my office LAN, printer, phones and laptop) and with my mom. So I just haven't been on the PC, though I still stay up as late as always and read through everyone's posts.
I had to forceably put my mom in the hospital for a psyc eval (dementia, she's 87 this week) and no sooner than we got her out, she put herself back in for chest pains. The CAT scan showed cancer... again.

We will see how it goes. We have never been really close but it still wears on you to watch her go downhill. Going over to her house today to cook her some of my Italian Sausage spaghetti for her B'day. She has been begging for some of my cooking. AND it is great cooking by the way!

Anyone have a URL for a TRUSTED PC parts warehouse? I need to replace an LCD (or the CCFL) on my office laptop. I am afraid to try places like "LCDs4Sale.com". Had to replace the formatter assembly on my printer too but I found that already (it was expensive... as always HP= $$$ for little). But I don't have a LCD source.

This will be a great weekend for me as I will be 53 on Saturday!! I can't believe I made it this far! After all the things I have gotten into in my life. A lot of close calls and I am still here! Who would have thunk it?
I guess now I can try to make another year!

You're in my thoughts and prayers. My inlaws are the older of our sets of parents and I'm going thru alot of things with them and it's not easy emotionally, mentally and physically it's exhausting. I also do the "meals on wheels" lol. It is interesting how life goes full circle. Stay strong and ask for help when you need it...I have a hard time with that but I'm trying to learn. Have a great long weekend.

I know several of us have parents or other older loved ones we help take care of. It's tough....hang in there and know you're doing your best. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Cant attach a pic of our rented RV for the race here in Atlanta, but will send it later!
