I'm actually going in this weekend to have them replace my the shift knob (started getting loose but not a major issue) but I wanted to see how you were able to describe/reproduce the sound for the dealer. I would imagine it being difficult at the dealer without having much quite space to have the car roll around on.

Anyways, an update on your experience would be greatly appreciated.

When I heard that I knew it was the trans but I see someone else already found out for ya. Hopefully it gets fixed. Try to go for a new trans they start whinning when they are about to go out.

It had got to the point that it was very noticeable with the windows up and radio off.

Total transmission replacement is the verdict. They "encountered problems they had never seen before and were sending it to Michigan for anylasis upon request". So apparently something broke on my baby in a way that hasn't happened before. Great.

That's terrible, hopefully they'll be able to get it like new again. My sound hasn't changed and isn't noticeable to the point where I'm too concerned at this point. But if it gets louder like yours is then I'm definitely going to take it into the dealer.

Good luck on your repairs and keep us updated.
