Need to wax my car but I have a problem...

I washed my car yesterday and I drove it and it rained a bit and got a little bit of water spots on the car and I wiped it off with meguiars ultimate quick detailer can I still apply wax or do I need to wash it again?

Personally I like to wash and wax at the same time for this reason. However I have in the past needed to wait the day - and I did the quick detailer and then waxed. So IMO I think you're OK.

If it was me, I would rewash. If you have any dirt on your car then you are going to be rubbing it all over the paint and potentially scratching the heck out of it. You could make a big mess if not careful.

wax has solvents in it that allow the carnauba to be carried. You don't need a 100% perfectly clean car to apply it. There can be polishing oils and all sorts of other stuff before you apply it.

If you do apply it, the wax may suffer in durability a little, but it's not going to be noteworthy. Don't overthink and just wax it

However, if you still have dirt on the car, that's a totally different issue. Then if you apply wax, you will rub the dirt into the paint and cause all sorts of damage. All I'm saying is that if the car is clean, but not surgically clean, it's ok to wax

This is where you break out the waterless wash.
