How do you keep your 1LE wheels clean?

So keeping my black 1LE clean is hard enough, but my wheels seem to be IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean for more than a day, and even then the crooks and crannies are dirty. Have any tips to keep them from being filthy after a 5 minute drive?

I have black ZL1 replicas

Went to hawk brake pads and it really cut down on the dust / brown look

The only way to keep them clean is by washing them after every drive LOL.

But really, the best way I found to wash them was with a microfiber and water...nothing else. I would do this after I washed the car.

They only stay clean if your not driving your car.

I bought Caliper covers it cut down on the amount of brake dust that gets to the wheels.

Just like the car, they have to be washed. And just like the car, if you drive, they will get dirty. The only way to keep them clean is to not drive it.

Having said that, I simply wash them. Soap them up and rinse with my power washer. Get them clean and put a coat of wax on them (again like the car), and they will clean up easier.

Meguiars wheel brightener cut 4:1 before washing with soap and water will clean them with minimal touching but haven't found anything that keeps them that way.

Thanks for the input, I guess putting some extra elbow grease into it is the only real solution.

I use normal powerwashing to get them cleanish. But every once a week and after every track day I take them off one by one and use a Simple Green/Water mix and clean them by hand.

Mine are White, so that's why I remove each to clean them fully

Your biggest contributing factor in them getting dirty so fast is the brake pads. Find a pad that dusts less and they will stay much cleaner.

Be forewarned though that a pad that creates less dust may also reduce the amount of bite your brakes have. I'm sure you could still find plenty of pads that will lock up all 4 wheels and be fine on the street but if you plan to take it to a track you'll want to put the more aggressive pads back on.

After finding a pad that creates less dust then like others have said you need to wash your wheels when you wash your car and a good coat of wax on them will really help make it easier to keep them clean when you do wash them.

Do dirty wheels make the car slower and less fun to drive?

No. So I kinda don't care
