yeah the R/T is more comparable for the MPG, and i think MPG is a big question for some considering we are in a recession and gas prices will not stay "NORMAL" for long.

Gee you're hard headed...and not very accurate/truthful Specs say 372HP and 401 lb ft does ANYONE look at real specs here??? http://www.dodge.com/hostc/vsmc/vehi...Code=CUD200903 The R/T gets 25 highway...2 more than the SS but is down a whopping 52HP..the SRT8 at 425hp gets 22 with the Auto. What exactly is your point?? The SS compares to the SRT8, not the R/T and while doing so gets better mileage. Dodge couldn't make 425 HP more efficient. End of story, nothing to see here folks other than a Challenger guy making nonsensical invalid points. Try telling us about how Chevy can't produce a 400+ HP Camaro for anywhere close to 30K like you did before pricing came out. Lost your cred with me ages ago. Buy-bye |

Then don't get the V8 with 426 gas eating HP if you are that worried. V6 rocks. As for the R/T it doesn't compare to the SS..see above

to be honest
I don't know what it's makes at the flywheel, but it does not make 390 rwhp

I've been driving one for the last 4 years (05 LT Sedan) and it's mpg #'s aren't impressive in the least. I'm not all that aggressive a driver, and most of my miles are suburban. I've kept track of the cars fuel economy for 3 years or so now and it rarely gets over 25mpg. In fact 23mpg is far more the norm. The absolute most I've ever gotten was 29mpg with a near all highway miles tank of gas. I'm willing to take into account that I'm not the lightest person, but I still find an average of 23mpg unacceptable in the Aveo. I"m curious what the REAL mpg of the Camaro is going to be for me. |

I'd heard much the same from other Aveo drivers (GMinsidenews is my other site of choice for auto news). The Cobolt would actually be a better choice for economy. |

That said, the Camaro gives great performance and reasonable fuel economy. The Challenger R/T gives good performance with good fuel economy. The Mustang costs less.

But most of the time it's just the junk I have thrown in the back seat (some old mail, a few magazines, etc.). Not enough to affect the mpg every tank full. |
