Although I have no experience with Valentine 1 to say anything one way or another on it, we do consistently get awesome feedback on the Excort 9500ix at Crutchfield from customers who have purchased it.

Well yeah if they're behind you. But if you haven't noticed them until you pass them then you had no chance in the first place.

True but you just gotta hope he's gonna another car the moment before he sees you.

At any rate, I need to stop depending on my eyes and get a radar detector, but my wallet disagrees with me.

Escort has a 0% financing plan with no credit check. The 9500ix is $155.55 down, and 12 monthly payments of $29.95

Haha at first it's hard to believe there are payments for a radar detector but in theory it sounds good! Heck I'm working a summer job right now and it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one now.

I appreciate that info! I'll be checking it out when I get home!

unfortunetly I have four vehicles and don't like to take the time to swap out - it always seem to be in the wrong vehicle. I have four X8500 passport. Like they said the i9500 has the GPS. If I only needed one unit that is the way I would go.

Caveat: Be aware in Virginia we have those wonderful large, black signs displayed prominently by the roadside as you enter the "Commonwealth", warning visitors that "Radar Detectors Are Illegal". Upon entering VA, the detector may NOT BE WITHIN REACH of either the driver or any passengers. Otherwise, one risks getting a ticket (as per VA state law)
This is one of the reasons why I have have the 9500ci. The detector is hidden very well behind the grill. It also supposed to be good for "Radar Detector-Detectors" like the Spectre.

You should find out what's being used in your area and base your purchase on that.

If it's all instant-on radar and lidar, well good luck.

Valentine 1 with the radar projector by dashtronix!

So cool, I have my radar up high out of sight, and my HUD or DIC displays all alerts.

Eh, the more I think about it the more I agree with myself that a radar detector is a waste of money. I don't need it enough to warrant the several hundred dollars for a quality one. It's like choosing between lowering springs (installed) or a radar detector. I want lowering springs.

Yea but when you get that ticket there goes your lowering springs Even when i'm not speeding i like to know where the police are. Of course if they have the radar on.
