cracks in sidewall
Has anyone had any issues with their tires? Just washing the car up and found that the drivers side front tire has cracks starting in the sidewall like an old tire. They are short for now but there are probably 100 of them, the picture is kind of blury but you can see them.

Not to be off topic, but then again...it may not be off topic, what kind of tires are those that your Treadware is only 220? I have 18" Tires on my 1LT Camaro and my Treadware is 620.
I always knew that with low profile tires (that fit on 20" wheels and above) they don't last as long as tires that have a higher profile, but I had no idea that you would be having problems already...and you have a 2011 so you can't even have had it a full calendar year yet. If this problem persists, and you find yourself having to buy tires all the time, I would seriously consider getting new wheels, as well, and downsizing to 18". You may not like the look as much, but for what it could save you in tires (especially having to constantly replace 20" tires...if that is the size you have) the cost of the new wheels would be worth it.

Car is brand new to me, have had it about 11 days it was manufactured in June of 2010 by the build stickers. I can tell it sat out side for some time due to the heavy rust on the rear rotors even inside the vents (being replaced by dealer). But the only tire affected was the front left. The tires are on the 2SS / RS 20" Pirelli's and yea I know they are only rated at 220 but thats the cost for sticky low profile tires, will upgrade when they wear out.
Anyway I hate to have to only replace one front tire and get into uneven wear issues between the fronts. There are only about 760 miles on the tires. I know the dealer will replace the defective one but what about the other front and even if the rears develop a problem. |

After discovering the issue with the tire dealer is going to replace. Are these tires hard to get from GM? Still no tire dealer says it might be another week.

The pzeros? No not by any means. They should have some in stock, and if they don't then it'll probably only take a few days for some to come in. Glad you are getting it all worked out. My guess is that the tires weren't at their proper pressure.

Tires? I have a 2010 SS with 18,000 miles with the stock Perelli times and they are 90 % worn. Never burned out or skidded to a stop. Anyone else with this problem.
I'm IN NJ and interested in your used tires and or wheels. UUTUU |

Yea PSI was low when I picked the car up bumped them up to the correct PSI which is about when I noticed the issue while washing but it appears to only of affected one tire. Just glad to get it taken care of.
