Alternatives to the Boston Acoustics system?

I wasn't that impressed with the Boston Acoustics setup on the 1LT I test drove the other day.

Is anyone else looking at higher-quality alternatives, and if so, what?

Its an option. The BA logo on the speakers gives it away. No logo no BA

Well because it's integrated forget it.

Add a subwoofer and be done with it. Otherwise you can't replace the head cause they didn't give DIN 1/1.5/2

It's one big bannana.

I really want to get a set of focals and put them in. But after the audio fiasco I had with my truck, I have vowed never to do audio again. That could change after being in the car for a few months with Boston setup.

Yeah, sorry, I just noticed that there is such a thing! Maybe a mod will kindly move it.

Boston Acoustics delivers some of the finest audio in the world... if you aren't impressed by the sound system, there isn't much in the aftermarket that will suit you unless you're willing to fork out some cash for a premium Alpine or Blaupunkt audio system. Even then, you will not achieve the full potential without changing the headunit (which isn't possible methinks).

Well, IMHO, this isn't one of them! I do admit that I did not spend a great deal of time tweaking it, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the problem.

Anyway, now that I see this section of the forum, I will spend more time researching it, and this thread can be considered redundant.

Blaupunkt??? While I do like their equipment, there are TONS of other brands I would call Premium before them, they don't make anything in the range of high end Clarion, Pioneer Premier, Kenwood Excelon, Eclipse, etc etc....
