1LE wheel touch up paint
I recently discovered that one of my wheels has a nasty scrape that has exposed bare metal. Can anyone advise of touch-up paint or similar that they might have used to address this issue that matches the factory color? Appreciate any help, thx.

I haven't found anything. Guys on hear have done well by mixing black and clear coat. Look for zl1 repairs not 1le...there's just a lot more zl1 out there
You also get it done professionally for $100 or so. Here's a link to my repair... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=Wheel+repair |

I just use black base (WA8555) and it looks great. Has just a little sheen, just like the wheels

I got mine repaired for 50 dollars from at a restoration shop in Gainesville, FL (Front Line Collision & Restoration) The owner Jimmy does great work and you can't even tell there was ever curb rash on the rim

I used to be Dragoneye...

I believe there is a GM code for the paint on the wheels that dealer body-shops have access to. Tom Henry Chevrolet made me up a can of touch-up paint...it's a perfect match, with some of what appears to be light metallic fleck in the base paint.
Sadly, I scraped the wheels up on the ZL1 enough for me to notice. Once....I smacked one with a screwdriver on accident installing side marker lights. Good to know there's some more easily-accesible options out there, though. |

I cannot find this PX0076 paint with any type of search. Is anyone else having trouble?
