What color do you think would look good on the calipers on NBM? I really don't want to do black. Would red look right? Or what other colors do you think would look good?

I was actually thinking red. It would definitely pop, everything else would kind of blend with the NBM

That's what I was thinking. Set it off a little bit. I just hope it isn't too much pop... I think it will look good. I will try to find some pictures on LS1Tech.

The more I see the Grand Sport stripes the more I like them. I just don't know if it would be too much going on with the SS hood stripe I plan on doing too.

Thanks for the compliments!

Did the calipers in NBM, chromed the brackets. If you are going to go with chrome wheels I definately recommend chrome brackets!

I recommend you smooth the calipers and do it right. Too many paint the rough castings. I think I would rank color choices in this order:

1. Black
2. Red
3. Polished
4. Blue

If you're talking about a hood stripe like on BlaSSt's I actually plan on doing that this summer... So if I beat you to it you'll be able to see what it looks like. If it gets a little too crowded I'll probably take the grand sport stripes off, since they're just vinyl.

You're welcome Blasst, I never realized your calipers were done, the chrome looks great with the black calipers and chrome wheels. Unfortunately I made that mistake, the writeup I used said nothing about smoothing the calipers. I realized on my first coat that I should have.. I guess you live and learn, I want to replace my calipers and rotors eventually anyway so I'll have another chance to paint them

Alright sounds good. I think I am going to go with red. What do I need to do to get it smooth?

I've heard just sandpaper, BlaSSt may be able to give a better answer!

All it takes is sandpaper and elbow grease, if you are painting. If polishing, you just got to take it further.
By the way I do this often:

The Trailblazer (Red on Silver with Chrome brackets & Decals):

The Cobalt: (Body color with Chrome Brackets, black chrome wheels)

So sand the calipers before you paint?
