Does anyone know how much hp/tq the 1LE half shafts are rated for?

Thanks for any replies...

it would have to be more than that....the half shafts are the same as on the ZL1 and that car make 580hp, so you figure they would build in a margin of safety, id say at least 750

Ive heard of them breaking on minimal power gains... just like stock SS's. I believe it is based on how greedy you want to be and let the car wheel hop. Eliminate the hop and youre probably good to atleast 750.

I have seen only one post on a broken 1LE half shaft.... Wheel hop it the enemy.

they should be, because the 1LE is all the goodies from the ZL1 minus the supercharger and magnetic ride control.

The bearings in the rear of the 1LE are direct from the ZL1, the halfshafts are not.

Well like all else on the car...the more power you start to add, the more stuff you are going to have to start replacing.
