IPF + Iceolator = Boost Leak?
I've heard that having an iceolator intake manifold spacer with an IPF setup can lead to boost leak. Do I have to take out my iceolator? I just installed it a month ago and am going to install the IPF next week and would REALLY like to keep the iceolator since I would have only had it for a month and it really did a lot for the car at around 3500 rpms. Is it guaranteed I am going to have problems if I do?

I have mine installed and I don't have a boost leak, even have a boost leak tester for it. I did have a leak from the Plenum gasket though.

Cool, I was going to get the plenum spacer but backed out since I don't want any extra problems

I think it varies from car to car imo. I asked Andy, and asked his boss and their reply was just take it off.
Not to say to take yours off...just a personal decision..

I took my mace 25mm spacer off aswell , Didt wanna risk having a leak.

Ya I really would take it off but it took me 3-4 hours to install and I even broke a couple bolts that were a PITA to replace and I have only had a month so unless I completely have to I would rather keep it on. Of course if problems occur after the IPF install the spacer would be the first to go for good measure

I think if you are going to run the Ice-olator and the IPF kit, then you should make sure you are running the ICE with a GM gasket on top and on bottom, and get longer than stock bolts.
I don't think I'd chance running the ICE with gasket maker and the stock bolts. Just my opinion.

ya I'm already getting longer bolts because I feel the stock ones aren't threading all the way. do you know the exact specs of those 4 center bolts on the plenum to order?

I use RTV on the top with an OEM gasket on the bottom with no leaks. But I also make my RTV by clubbing baby seals and using their skin.
