I don't understand why everyone is freaking out about these pictures.
A lot of people on here own a 5th gen, so I don't know why a lot of people are complaining that it looks too much like a 5th gen? Wouldn't that be a good thing? Also, it is a brand new chassis and platform and engine and now there's MRC and probably going to be a better interior. Clearly this calls for the term "6th gen". It isn't based solely on appearance. Lastly, if you don't like it then don't buy it. There is no reason to be fuming over this... I'm out. |

No...5th gen.
Quote:
It looks like a 5th gen yes (and we knew it would) but everything past that is completely different. Nobody is making excuses....please. I do hope its at least 450HP, but honestly, this car no matter how you shake it is going to be 2015 SS and 2015 GT killing fast. Less weight, 8 speed auto, MUCH more TQ under the curve. It should be closer or equal to Challenger Scat Pack than the current SS and Mustang GT. That side profile is freaking sexy. I love it. I can't wait to see better pictures.

Yes evolutionary.
Porsche does evolutionary well. The Corvette I think does it well also. It gives the Camaro team I think time and ideas to go in either direction with the next and the next generation. ...to think about it a lilttle a lot of new cars are "evolutionary" .

This car looks a lot more narrow than the 5th gen. I'm thinking we are all going to be quite shocked by how much smaller it is. I think this is going to be a great car. I am confident this car will be right and better in all areas than the 5th gen. We just need to wait to see the rollout plan for all models.

Holding final judgments till tomorrow. These screen captures would not do any car justice.

Holding out for more detailed photos. Especially the interior as that is where one lives on a daily basis. Never a fan of the Camaro 5 interior. Hoping that dash is improved.
Just how well is a four pot going to handle the heavy car? Any word on an modern duel clutch automated manual transmission? Looks we will all know much more tomorrow. |

Well the front bumper looks cool. Still like the 10 - 13 rears. I'll be keeping my ZL1 for a long time now. The Hi-Po versions will have to be amazing. All in all as far as the design... It leaves me wanting more and wanting to change some design choices. The rear blandness takes away from the fronts aggressive big mouth. Interior and performance will hopefully be the 6th gen saving grace.
