Cool How many use OnStar diagnotics?

OnStar has a diagnostics program that it can run on your car. It measures the vitals of the vehicle. Then it sends a report of its findings to your email. I was told by my salesman and OnStar this diagnosis was to supposed to happen automatically once a month on the anniversay date/day that you picked up the vehicle.

So far I have had to call OnStar and ask them to run the test each month. Each time they tell me they will put me in the system so it should run automatically once a month. I am still not getting an automatic report. Not surprising.

I just got my first report yesterday. 10 days after I bought my camaro. It's nice, but probably something I don't really need though.

Did you check your account online to make sure you have the correct e-mail address set up?

I had that problem with my Sky, I had to go to their website 3 times and enter my address before I started getting them... now I get them every month, but I have noticed if it sits past the date they usually send one out i won't get one until the day I drive it again...

This is true, its a passive system, how it works is it sends a signal to the car at some point during the day (usually mid day) to report back after the next time you drive it. If you don't drive it, it doesn't report until you do.

No problems here. I think it's an awesome little detail in their service.

A thought: you might not be getting it because of your e-mail's spam/advertising filter. Put their email address in your Contacts or Safe list.

I've gotten 3 now and they're slightly useful...1st one was after I called them up and told them from the car to sign me up - well, they actually asked me if I wanted it and verified my e-mail address during the call.

On my 7th report, came in handy early on when it indicated tire pressure was low. Its good to get but not critical if you're paying attention to your car.

The last two I have gotten said my tire pressure was low but it is still showing on the DIC as good and the pressure the DIC indicates is same as the placard on the door. what I have noticed is that the report says the PSI should be 2 PSI more than the placard on the door says it should...
