Trifecta Tune Question

Can anyone who has had the Trifecta tune done answer a few questions for me. I have been talking with the only authorized Trifecta tuner in Arizona that is listed on their official site and he is telling me some things that I had not heard and I wanted to double check on.

1. He says that in the cars he has done he tied the tune to traction control button. In other words when you are just driving the car uses it's stock tune, when you turn traction control off it activates the Trifecta tune settings.

2. He says that Trifecta is a "ghost tune" that is not currently detectable by GM?

3. The tune can clear any engine codes and CEL caused by the American Racing long tube headers im going to install.

4. He says he has done 1 2010 V6 Camaro and one CTS with the same engine. He claims the Camaro was bone stock and got a +28hp increase

The first and the last one both sound too good to be true IMO. What do you guys think? Can anyone who has had this done weigh in?

#1 and #4 are absolutely suspect. You should talk to vince directly to get your answers.

Take it from me....which I don't know if you will or not but buy the full kit for $600 from Vince. It is worth it because you are getting direct contact with the actually designer of the tune and you don't know if that guy is going to charge you when you need to do some updates for the tune.

Good recommendation. I bough mine from nallen in Indiana, because it was cheaper and still received tune support from Vince. Heck I have bugged Vince almost every 2 weeks in the last 3 months, and he has outstanding customer service IMHO.

So if you find the hardware for cheaper than $600 bucks, check with Vince if you will still receive support from him and buy that hardware. Otherwise $600 is well worth it.

Was it engine or transmission related? It doesn't become an issue until it is something that need to be looked at closely.

A dealership won't check for a tune if you go in to get your oil changed, or change your tires.

Up to this point, no one has had concrete proof that there is such a thing as an undetectable tune. We've asked for any kind of proof and never get it. So, up to this date, I still call unless someone proves me wrong

All 4 questions are correct for tuning the Bosch ECM for the 3.6.
Vince has been tuning Bosch ecms for the 2.0 sidi cars with these features utilizing his own software

When I say undetectable by GM I mean that it is undetectable by GM tech II

The reason GM can't see the tune is that you can't reprogram the V-6 as it has not been cracked yet.

I took it in for my front end and the TC light not going off. It had some problem with going over the speed bumps, hard metal noise on the front passenger side. After about 3 times of that happening the TC light came on and just stayed on for some reason. Supposedly my front passenger shock was screwed up somehow and this caused my TC light to come on after some many miles of driving....thats what the tech wrote down. Needless to say it is fixed and fine now.

I don't understand why you keep saying that "hasn't been cracked yet" If Trifecta's tune can change my AFR and timing and give me different shift points and delete my Torque management what else are you looking for in the tune that means they have "cracked it"?

How much more of a tune are you looking for than the one Trifecta is putting out? Have you even talked to them?
