Because that's pointless. The next gen will always come along with some development but it isn't necessarily an improvement.

That's not what you said originally. It did start as an RPO, but later it became its own level of Camaro.

I am ready to buy a 48K base Z/28 with an ls7 and 1LE suspension--cash in hand... Iwill keep my 69 Z and ZL1 and consider I WILL HAVE THE 3 BEST CAMAROS OF ALL TIME.....

....time will tell about the advent of the Z's resurrection, but you have two of the best Camaro's of all time no doubt...!
