Yes they did, they had a muffler delete done with the 5" Magnaflow tips!

Amazon actually sells the OEM Brembo's if you want to get any missing pieces like that. If the rear cradle isn't messed up I would transfer it over or else you will be taking apart a lot of stuff to get the rear dust shields installed (which I still have to do with my brembo's).

As long as the engine and ECU are there, you should be golden. Those are the major costs. Wiring it up will be time consuming but you will be the expert everybody calls when you are done. You will be a God among Mortals on Camaro5.
I should have 3 good brakes..I will probably need a driver front and maybe a driver rear.. But the other two should be okay. And we are going to look when we get home with the car and check the engine and trans. But the ECU looks to be fine. What do you think would have to be changed on the wiring? And I have to figure out how to wire up the back up camera since I'm going from an auto to a manual!

Since you're spending the coin I would build anything I could before the swap.
It's pretty crazy, but we are just hoping that the engine and trans aren't busted. Besides the oil pan that we know about being busted. And hopefully the computer shut it off when it got hit or the person was able to turn it off atleast. And I don't think FI is in the budget at the time, I wish it was but hopefully we can get this project finished first then maybe later on go FI. Let's just hope everything is okay!

All the wires from the Body Control Module to the ECU I think, and getting them to talk to each other. From what I've heard the BCM has your VIN as well as the ECU. Getting the hardware to work will probably be the easy part, software will be a different story. The wiring actually shouldn't be bad now that I think about it, as long as the wires survived on the V8. I don't know if the same plugs and wires go from the V6 BCM to the ECU are the same as the V8.

I'm pulling for you to get this working, if you do the amount of information you will have learned will help the community a lot.

Hopefully we can just change out the ECM and BCM and then change out all of the sensors that read off of the computers and hopefully it will run. Because we are in a project right now where we are trying to put a LFX into a 2011 and we got everything changed such as engine, trans, BCM, ECM, and we figured it would work... But we took it to the dealer and they said we would have to change about 6 modules before they could flash it because the new camaros run off satellites in the sky and so if the computer don't read everything as the same vin then all the electronics that read off of the vin to the BCM has to be changed before it will start. And the tech at gm said we would have to do it with this swap to because it's going from a 2012 to a 2011. So I guess we will see how it works out. We are almost home with the car and hopefully going to be able to get underneath today to take a look at what is wrong underneath!

Got the car home, got it a tad bit late to start on it tonight! Got a picture of the engine, still can't tell much about the engine or trans until we tear it down tomorrow!

Whoa. The hole in the silicone coupler looks like either meth or a dry cheater shot of NOS.

Check that engine over well.

BTW - much respect to OP for actually going through with a V6 -> V8 swap. Document WELL, for this will be a popular thread, I have a feeling!

Noticed that too, definitely do a compression check and peek in the oil pan before going through all the trouble.

The previous owner may have been using a Vararam intake.

Good luck. Think attacking this is going to be a nothing short of a huge project.

I won't get into any cost justification as I think it's personally not worth it in the long term to do a swap in modern cars. Not my money though so I'll sit back and watch the show.
