aftermarket companies listening?

Ok well knowing that the Z28 is not officially being used or researched yet. are any aftermarket companies planing on carbon fiber hoods, trunks, brakes, and weight reduction parts? personally I'm looking to make this 3900lb beast get below the 3600 lb mark with carbon fiber upgrades, and titanium/chrome-moly upgrades. anywhere and everywhere to save weight. After that I'm going to be looking at making the LS3 or L99 push over 500hp with out going FI. if the aftermarket guys are on here are you listening? I'm sure there are others on here that'd like this as well.

How much lighter is a CF hood then a normal one? Also, trunks and fenders.

oh I have no doubt we could take a stock SS/RS at around 3900 lbs and change out everything (price not a concern) we can with lighter chrome-moly, carbon fiber, etc and get the car down to 3600 or lower.

Well the only way to see is to make one and weight it.

lol well that will be a while. if I can't buy it like that from the factory/aftermarket company I'll probably wait till I get my 4th gen back on the road and racing again.

500 HP out of the LS3 should be prety easy. I think you can do that with parts available now. 400 lbs out of a 5 star crash rated car that has already been on a diet? I don't know unless you're willing to gut the interior, replace all of the suspension, and most of the body with CF.

Curious tho, why no Forced Induction? I bet an STS dual turbo kit would work well in place of those 2 mufflers...

had too many friends with turbos have issues (4th gen installs). and honestly don't like the sound that the STS produces.

but seriously it's a race car about the only thing left in the interior would be two seats, instrument cluster, and the stick shift. lol. I feel 400 lbs is easy at that point.

cam + bolt ons + tune. a cam on an LS3 can net 480 with a tune. so bolt ons and ram air I wouldn't doubt 500 isn't possible.

here's a link to the hot cam LS376/480 crate engine

no idea. no pricing has been released for the car. take the model number for the cam and google it I would imagine. or write it down and go ask a gm dealership for a price.
