Max Tire Widths for Stock 20s?
Was wondering what the max safe width you can put on the stock 20s. The reason I'm asking is because I will probably need new tires before I can get the wheels I want, which will be 20x8.5/10 most likely. I want to go as big as I can now to be setup as well as possible when I can afford the wheels, and then of course down the road go to 275/315 for the NEXT set of tires.

305s. And it just so happens that I have the rear 305 Pirelli pzero sitting in my garage that I used on my factory wheels. Have about 65-70% tread left on them. These are the same tires that come stock on a 599 ferrari. I am no longer using them as I have gotten 315s since and new wheels. If your interested I will give u a great deal on them. Pm me if you want

11.5? Are you telling me what size wheels you have? I'm asking about tires on the stock 8 and 9 inch rims.

Recommended 20" tires for 2010 Camaro
245/45-20 = 28.7" tall, 8.0-8.5 wheel 255/45-20 = 29.0" tall, 8.0-8.5 wheel 265/40-20 = 28.4" tall, 8.5-9.0 wheel 275/40-20 = 28.7" tall, 9.0-9.5 wheel 285/40-20 = 28.9" tall, 9.0-10.0 wheel 295/35-20 = 28.1" tall, 9.5-10.5 wheel 305/35-20 = 28.4" tall, 10.0-10.5 wheel 315/35-20 = 28.7" tall, 10.5-11.0 wheel These are the recommended max widths for the stock wheels. Saying that there's plenty of guys running 305s on the stock 9'' wheels. It's not recommended, but guys are doing it and I haven't heard of any issues. Running 275s up front on the stock 8'' wheels is similar to running 305s out back on a 9'' wheel (1'' less wheel than recommended). |

Booooosted.

Correct.
I wouldn't go any bigger than 285 personaly. The sidewall starts to lose integrity imo. |
