How to make my exhaust louder without spending $1,000+?

I've got a 2011 2LT/RS Convertible, and I've always been looking to upgrade the exhaust system (to get a great sound), but I just really prefer not to spend $1,000+. Being a V6 convertible, I really have a limited set of choices to upgrade the exhaust, so that's where my question comes in. Are there any other ways to make my exhaust sound awesome without buying a whole kit? I'm not a fan of muffler deletes, so I'm looking for more of a bolt-on option.

Thanks, guys!

The MRT 1.0 would fit the budget and should give you what you are looking for.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

You can go the MRT route and if you read most of the postings you end up with rasp and add a resonated x-pipe, then finally adding j-pipes. Save your money and in the future get an cat back system like solo which is made for LLT verts. Ark is another good choice but I haven't seen one on a vert. You will save yourself money in the long run.

I don't know why everyone complains about the MRT's. Maybe my hearing is bad and I can't hear it, but you two have convertibles I can understand not wanting something as loud.

V2: http://marylandspeed.com/mrt-axlebac...77-p-3681.html

But yes majority of people end up adding x-pipe then j-pipes, which is why I went solo

Solo system runs about $900 from solo and they do offer free install at some locations. Check out their web site. I know they were also running specials for C5 members.

How easy is the install with the MRT's?

And I would buy a full cat back, but I just spend $1,000 on the VIS Terminator hood. That being said, I'd rather not spend a lot of money on the exhaust.

Mrt muffler is easy to put on. A muffler shop could do it for less than $180. The mufflers cost $500

Measure.
Measure, again.
Cut the pipes.
Remove the stockers.
Slide on the MRTs.
Clamp (or weld) 'em down.
Drive.
Drive some more.

Solo cost me $805 and the old man helped me install them, not too bad in my opinion. Got them with a package deal on the 4th of July sale which is how I got them at that price though
