My new door switch

Here I show this video of my new switches on the doors when I get back from the holidays I'll show how I did and what parts I used to use the stock panel-through connector

Tools required:
T20, and T27 torx socket
7mm socket wrench
Socket screwdriver
Heat shrink tubing
Electrical soldering iron
Solder
Heat gun
Terminal crimper
Phillips screwdriver
Car Panel Removal Tool
Electical Tape
Precision Screwdrivers set
Wire 3 color and black

Parts you need:
door panels 2012-13 (driver and passenger)
door lock/unlock switch D.S#22879460,22847867. P.S#22847868

Conectors tyco (2) #1379029 (need a small mod) I have 1 sets with terminals available
TE CONNECTIVITY Terminals Micro Quadlok Syste Series (8) 963715-1
and for Panel-through connectors, "if you want to use this way" you need :
1- Female HPCS
FCI automotive Connectors #60013031 (1)
2- 1.5 Female Term
FCI automotive Connectors #60000531 (2)
3- 2.8MM Male Term
FCI automotive Connectors #60110631 (1)
4- 1.5MM SWS MALE
FCI Automotive Connectors #60100731 (2)
*these parts are hard to get, especially in small quantities*

Step 1:
I took the switch signal from radio/HVAC control or Body Control Module (X2 L-Blue connector). you can attach the t-tap to this wires. I prefer to solder the wires I would not do this if it was not permanent modification.
door lock switch lock signal Pink/Black wire
door lock switch unlock signal Orange/Black wire

Step 3:
must to pass the lock signal wire through the door connector. this thread can help http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155660
here we use the terminals for this connector
if you want to use this mode or can pass the wire around of rubber boot

on the door harness I changed the wire color. Please don't do that because it can be confusing

Step 4:
as had to pass two wires through the driver door connector. but only has one pin available, *I used the ABL wire (purple) for unlock signal and connect the LED (ABL) to the circuit LED backlight dimming (yellow)

I'd have to find a crashed 2012-13 convertible! No way I'd pay dealer price for these door panels.

Just another example of what Chevy should have done in the first place (put the power door lock switches on the armrests). My Jeep Wrangler has power window switches on the center console and power door lock switches on the doors. Whenever I switch vehicles, it takes a few tries to get reoriented!

I bought some door panels months ago for the door inserts and put the door panels back in the box and left them alone till now. I was working on the RS lights today and decided to pull the door panels back out and look what I found. These must have been off of a 2013. So now I can do this mod and wait to do the Mylink upgrade. Yah
