Padres Tony Gwynn (RIP)

This one certainly hits home with me.

My all time favorite baseball player dies of cancer at 54. One of the very best guys who ever played the game.

RIP Tony

Also one of favorite players. I followed him thru-out his career, he was the ultimate true hitter. I actually had the privilege to see him play basketball for San Diego State in his senior year. He meant so much to the San Diego Community. Rest in peace Mr. Padre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured you would chime in on this one. Really going to hit the SD community hard. Gwynn and Seau were staples in SD.

I do have a really cool baseball signed by Tony. it has 394/94 separated by the Y in his signature. Just glad he got to enjoy many years of being in the Hall of Fame and continuing to coach.

Yes Mike, it will probably be headline news here in San Diego tomorrow. The local sports stations are talking more about his great character than his playing career. Great person and family man. God Bless Mike
