You have a couple options.

1) Get in the car, lower the back seat down, crawl into the trunk and pull the manual/emergency release

2) Attach jumper cables to the under hood 'jump' leads and than press the trunk release button

3) Plug something into one of your 12v+ power ports (1 on the center console, 1 In the center console) and add 12+v to it, press the trunk release. This is what mechanics do when working on a car and they dont want to disturb the presets/clock/Emissions readiness using a "memory savers" when work requires the removal of the battery.

That has been covered on this site.
1. Open door with key, 2. Pull hood release open hood, 3. Remove protective red cap off positive (+) post (located forward of master cylinder) 4. With jumper cables or charger connect to ground (-) post (located by air filter) and positive post, 5. Push trunk release to access battery or insert key to start car.

You should market that. You'd make a fortune.

Call it "CamaroFLAGE"....

Too funny. Although I hear K-Cars are the next big thing since all the Pintos and Chevettes are gone. I would have said Pintos and Vegas but I've seen a couple of badass Vegas in recent years.

If someone wants to steal the car, they'll drag it out of it's space (in gear, brake on, steering wheel locked, the whole car right onto a flatbed, and it will be gone in less than 60 seconds.

For minor break-ins, My best advice is to not be a target. Don't leave anything in the vehicle in sight, and don't leave anything worth stealing IN the vehicle. Make it a point to remove:

1. Loan paperwork, if you're dumb enough to store it in the car;
2. Garage door remotes
3. Vehicle registration which might have your home address on it;
4. Anything with your name or address on it
5. Parking passes, access cards, badges for your work/employment

And also on not being a target-- you'll want to park far away, of course, but try to be inconspicuous about it. Park on an end of an aisle, but maybe not in the back 40. At night, if the garage empties, your car will be very secluded/ a perfect target for thieves. In other words, don't make the car look like you're leaving it for a long time or is being left overnight.

Pre-smash the window, thieves will think it's already been gutted.
