Lets not forget.. Halogen was all the rage not that long ago! Or....... maybe I'm just showing my age now.. LOL

the HIDs' will look dated soon enough.

That's just the way things go.

For now, HID FTW for me.

Not true. For my ss i decided to buy used due to a great deal and I ended up with non rs headlights without a choice. I do agree that the halos finishes the camaro aggressive look so I ended up retrofitting my halogen headlights and I'm happy with my look now.

You had a choice, it was to get that good deal instead of going elsewhere

I know a few Camaro owners where I live who prefer the Stock ones; those people are old too.

Save the money and get custom lights done. Being different is the name of the game. But that's just me. Eagle eye has a great alternative with better halo rings for a little over $300.

I remember when we first started getting pics of the 5th gen, they all had the halos and people were wondering what the standard headlights would look like. When those photos showed up on this site, I thought they looked much better than the halos. They fit the retro design of the car more than the BMW-ish headlights. I like my standards.

Mine is a summer only toy, so didn't need the RS. And yes I can afford it... LOL I wanted the polished wheels too. So why pay for the midnight wheels on the rs package, just to pay for the polished wheels too?Especially on the SS, the RS is a huge $ maker for GM.

Before I get bashed too much, if it was a DD, a LT, or I could drive it more than 6 months a year, I would have gotten the RS without question.
