yeah i didnt exactly mean the z/28 recaro seats. they come on the 1 le and an option on the SS correct? it seems like at some point the 1le/ss recaros should be avaliable through gm, or am i getting my hopes up? They are such beautiful seats and if GM made them avaliable through the parts catalog I'd save up for them as long as they'd fit a 14 1ls without issue!

I think i saw on Gm performance parts website that the z/28 spoiler itself will be available the third quarter of 2014 maybe thats when they'll also release the wicker bill? or maybe they'll make us wait till Q4 for that one!

though a set of racaros the spoiler and wickerbill would make for one hell of a christmas present!

SOOOOO I was told buy my buddy that works at the dealer he just received an email from GM stating if you dont own a Z28 then you cant buy ANY Z28 parts without vin and last name of buyer?

My question is that the 2014 Camaro spring edition camaro has the same rear defuser as the Z28, will the rear defuser sill be avail.? Wouldnt it be the same part# as the Z28?

It is almost the same.
The spring special one will be a different part number.
Z/28 - 22985096
Spring special - 23180695

The difference is the spring special version is optioned for the rear object detection sensors. I don't know if that will play into the difference or not.
Most likely the difference is that the Z/28 version is painted all black and the Spring Special version is primed

Well if thats the case lets hope some aftermarket company with a z/28 can get parts and make some quality reproductions! I'm sure things like exterior body piecies (splitter,spoiler,rockers,and even the flares) will be reproduced by quality aftermarket companies if they havent already.

Buyers name good luck cars change hands and how does GM have record of that.

Exclusive is so for the birds. Give it 6 months to a year and you should be able to get parts. if GM goes exclusive I will be considering dodge or ford for next vehicle. For me collector cars are mid 70's and older Z28 may be a collectors car in the future but if all are garage queened the value decreases.

i heard from somebody who is a parts manager for a gm dealership said the 1le recaros will be avaliable to buy but he doesnt have a price for them yet or an ETA but still a little positive news!

I sent a message to ACS asking about the possibility of making a set of universal flares.

I would like the option of something that looks good and isn't dependent on this splitter or that set of skirts and rear diffuser.

They could give us Road Course guys a viable option to run 295's or 305's.

I'll let you all know when/if they get back to me. It wouldn't hurt for some more messages to them either.

does anyone know if there is a difference in spoilers between the 2014 ss spoiler and the z/28 or does the z/28 just have the ablity to add the wickerbill? and is the z/28 spoiler avaliable or is it just the wickerbill that is unavaliable atm?

people want the functionality of the parts not to try and clone a specific car. I'm going to be picking up my 14 1ls saturday and of course i want some of the z/28/1le functionality on my car because it will eventually be brought to the road course and auto x. Even if my car's exterior looked like 99.9 percent of the z/28 it still wouldnt have the vin and there fore the true value, and id NEVER put those badges on it n claim that it was thats sacreligious!
