No ADM sticker on the car. Looked like the MSRP window sticker was THE price.

since I didn't want to waste any salesmans time (since I wasn't going to buy it tonight) I didn't see how flexible they were.

I do know they only have the one and they swirled the paint to death and there was a scratch in the clear coat on the hood. All fixable but all negotiable in my opinion

^ Do you really like all that fake chrome on the SS?

It seems to be EVERYWHERE (int/ext) and i'm not a fan of plastic fake chrome, if I was then I would hit up the local auto part store and buy all their fake chrome accessories. I always swap out the chrome parts for painted pieces on my trucks to give it a clean look vs chrome fuel doors, stick-on chrome wheel well moldings, stick-on chrome mirror covers. stick-on chrome door handle covers, and those stick-on chrome tail light covers are the worst.

The amount of chrome on the exterior is about the same as other Chevys. It's not overwhelming. Interior wise aside from the areas in the photos there not much else chrome. If I took a picture from the backseat it would look much better since your we wouldn't be focuse on just the gauge cluster or just the center console.

And the rails on the on the center console are fake plastic they certainly don't feel like it.

The only time I really hate chrome is when they trim around the ****ing windows. That's damn annoying. I really wanted a black equinox LTZ but I couldn't get around that chrome strip. So I bought Silver Ice instead, can barely see it.

Yes-the Pontiac G8 with the Rims looks very nice. The console and center stack is ok, would like to see GM change their Dash Gauges on all their current cars (excluding Vette). I can't explain it, just have a look at any recent Audi speedo and tach, its all about style, font, colors and not the material but they look better imho.

The G8/SS profile is very similar to prior gen BMW 5 Series, it clear as day.

While I love the idea of these V8 RWD sedans (I've always been a fan of the old Impala SS's, Mercury Marauders, and to a lesser extent the Chargers as of late) I don't think I feel the same about this one. Though being as honest as I can, I'm not sure why. One could argue the point that it's the "badge engineering" that gave rise to these cars. But there really wasn't much to the "reengineering" of Impala and Grand Marquis to make the vehicles I mentioned before. Perhaps it's just nostalgia that gives them their desirability. This one will perhaps "grow" on some, but I dont think I'll be one of them, same as the vaunted G8 if a few years ago.

I will say in closing I hope these types of vehicles stick around.

This.

But ill throw in the new Silverado gauges. I like those a lot. If the gauge cluster in the SS was put in the Impala, I'd buy the impala in a heartbeat. The impalas gauges just look half hearted considering what the rest of the car looks like.

The new Malibu LTZ is a good looking car. Wished a more performance orientated engine and 4wd were offered in it. Tried to get the wife to look at them, unfortunately I put her in an Audi and will never get her out of them.

Anyone ever think the same person designed the last Saturn Vue?

While I like the car, although it is a little on the BMW boring side of things, I think it's a step back for GM to bring the feel back of when the ship was sinking. I loved the G8s when they were out. But also, that was the beginning of the end for GM, and I would think that they wouldn't want to bring memories of the dark times back.

It really seems like a half ditched effort on GM's part. They could have done so much more with bringing back a rear wheel drive V-8 with a bowtie on it.

Yea, I wish they would've gave the Malibu a V8 too! Because the hips on it and the whole profile looks kinda muscular to me ,Except the front. But not bad looking neither! I say the front of the Chevy ss on the Malibu would be Killer beast with a V8.
