It's about $600 in parts. It may be tough finding a shop that would/could install it. I just finished mine last night. If I had to do another, I'd probably charge $1000 in labor and wouldn't want to be held liable if any parts were damaged. If you have a garage, you could probably do it yourself. Just take your time and read the posts about install.

Order from patrickt you'll be able to get it for around $410.00+ shipping which is a lot less than what your dealer will charge.

Is the proper windshield just a 2011 windshield? Or is there a with HUD and without HUD windshield in 2011?

I ask because I bought an SS dash with HUD for my 2011 LS and I plan on installing and I am just curious if my windshield is already good for it.

You should be good to go. There is a HUD and non HUD windshield but the non HUD windshield works just fine.

The only difference is the hud glass has a special coating to make it more clear reflecting but the I wouldnt worry about changing it out

I've estimated the job for about 600 labor being based on my car

HUD installed today! My friend (ex-GM/ASE mechanic for 14 years) helped me....I basically helped him install it.

Thanks Ofer for responding on the template question and for letting us know about using the fine thread screws. I am so happy this is finally installed.

Regards,

BMRINELL

Not yet as dash is still in transit. Also I am in the process of moving so I am going to wait until I am in my new house and have the new garage!

Well here in U.S I just had the proper windshield due to a crack that ran up center of windshield. It cost me $900 installed. The Hud is much clearer now. Was it worth the extra dollars? I am all about doing things right, so for me YES.

At some point, I would like to get the proper windshield. I've seen how much clearer it is and it looks much better.
