Boring. Same old same old. Definitely a Mustang.

I don't understand why people keep posting threads saying "2010 Mustang revealed" and then they post a drawing, or the Mustang Giugiaro, or a concept. Nothing is revealed until Ford releases production photographs. Sorry OP not trying to flame I've just been seeing a lot of it lately.

These "muscle-cars" are all following the same script.
This is "boring" but I think it looks a LOT like the Camaro. Inset headlights (that appear round...but will probably be halos) into the grille...and the blinker/running lights just to the inside of the headlight. Lower grille basically has the same shape as the RS V6. The main difference is the emblem and the foglamp location. Look at the "haunch" over the rear tire. The Challenger has done the same thing... For some reason though...they all look unique.

Now I don't know how to put this without offending the "Mustang crowd", (I like the current Mustang! ) but it looks to me like Ford is realizing their "retro" styling is a past "fad", and is making an attempt, (a poor one IMO) to incorporate "retro" with "original" styling in the next Mustang.
It just looks like they're trying too hard IMO. Like Chevrolet did, very successfully, with the new Camaro, Ford needs to start from a clean sheet of paper. |
