Sirius-ly

Just got my first phone call from Sirius/XM. One year demo runs out Tuesday. Had two letters for $115 per year. Phone call for $29 for 6 months. Told her I could wait for a better offer. She said she didn't know where I was getting my info from. We'll see if they call back.

Tell her she doesn't know where she's getting HER info from. Call back, get a different rep and you'll get the deal you want. Last I heard there was a $77 per year deal. SiriusXM is IMO the kookiest company ever from a "customer retention" standpoint.

I paid about $24 for 5 month subscriptions multiple times....but ya, their customer service blows.

My initial 3 months is up too, I got a call offering 1 year for $86 and I turned it down. I have it in my Tahoe and usually get 6 months at a time for $25-$29. You will get a better offer if you "negotiate" with them.

I got a letter Last month stating I need to pay around $125.00 to keep my service. I called and offered her $77.00 for the year and she she that she could not do that. I ask her why do I get letters in the mail that reads that I can get Sirius radio for $25 for 6 months. She said she could do that. I took that deal because it is cheaper the the $77.00 a year deal. They should have took the $77.00 deal I offered.

I didn't negotiate. At renewal they wanted $19.99 monthly, I said no. They offered half price, $9.99, I told them no, and that I have a friend that gets service for $25/6 months (I don't). She put me on hold for a minute, then signed me up.. made sure they know it was a one time charge too, that way they don't put me back on $19.99 per month after that automatically..
