Trailer hitch on 11VertSS w/gfx

Has anybody out there installed a trailer hitch (1000lb) on an 11 2ss Vert w/gfx?

I have a small snowmobile trailer that i'd like to be able to use maybe once or twice a year.

If I could find one to fit my vert that would be nice. Otherwise I'll have to hang onto my 08 Malibu.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still getting the vert. (TPW 3-21)

...I just can't make sense of the image I'm seeing in my head. Sorry for not adding anything constructive... the image is just... weird.

Good luck!

I don't think anyone has had a chance to do this with a vert. But if you do a search of the forum there a few threads of doing this with the coupe.

Yea, I know I'm nuts for even thinking of desicrating such a fine car, and I haven't positivly decided to do it, I'm just exploring possibilities.

I already have a car and a truck, but I don't really have room for them both at home let alone room when the vert comes.

so.....

Out of the two (Truck and Malibu), I'd probably keep the Malibu (which already has a hitch on it), and put the vert on the other side of the garage, but.....

If I could get by with just one vehicle (yes the vert will be the DD), then I'd have more room, my insurance would go down, etc....

Since the ball and reciever come off, with only the bar remaining, I thought that perhaps a square hole could be cut in the gfx to allow the ball/reciever to fit if/when I need to tow something. When I'm not towing anything, the ball/reciever would come out leaving just the square opening, and since the gfx will be black anyway, it might not be all the noticible from a distance.

Either way, I'm just exploring the possibility.

Look around. Someone may have even come up with a stealth bar system like on the Escalade, with a pop-out panel or behind a flip down license plate.

I'd be worried though about the towing forces on the unibody in the rear area. I doubt the engineers thought about this car being a tow vehicle, even with this much power.
