P0451 Code - 2010 LT
Can anyone shed light on this? It came on, I ran some cleaner through a tank and it went off. Then on the last trip I took it came back on. Any ideas?
Thanks!

P0451 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance
8 Evaporative emissions systems test for a leak in the fuel tank and associated hoses. To perform the test, the computer pulls a vacuum and checks to see if the vacuum holds. Each car maker uses a different technique to check, but most often it’s some type of fuel tank pressure sensor. This codes relates to a failure in that sensor. It’s either reporting an incorrect value, or is malfunctioning. This is an OBDII trouble code that will set off the check engine or SES light. In other words I think you need a new gas cap. |
