Rub off the rust and put some touch up paint on it if Chevy still has that very cool color. If not, find some matching nail polish at Wal-Mart and get back to sweating the big stuff, because this ain't it.

this looks like its been chipped by someting....i can see having a small imperfection in the paint...but that is large ...the paint dept at gm would have caught a paint defect that size

can you see a defect in the paint? Warranties are for defects not fix alls. I see a chip caused by something striking the car such as a gravel or something else.

You guys are funny with all the defect & warranty chatter. Its called a rock chip. It happens when you drive the car.

OP any of the touch up repair methods mentioned are better than leaving it as is. Except Mr. Toasty's suggestion is a bit extreme. Pick the one you are ther most comfortable with.

It doesn't look that bad. From here it looks like surface rust which is no biggie.

That’s a bummer! Since you have posted you would like to take the vehicle to a dealership please, let us know if we can assist with setting an appointment if you haven’t done so already. We look forward to reading any other updates you would like to share. This is my favorite color too, huge downer.

No I don't think so... had a 2011 that the chevy dealer, PPG, & GM could not get right.

GM ended up taking it under the Lemon Law, which is why I have 2012 Black one.

For best results a body shop will need to take a look at it and they will be able to see how much they need to spray to blend it in properly. I'd say around $250 should cover it. It could be more. It all depends on how high up it goes on the A pillar.

You could hit it with a dremel carefully (sand paper might be tough in the small space) to clean up the rust and dab a little paint to keep it from getting worse and just live with it for now. I know Napa can mix up a spray can of pretty much any color on site in a few minutes. The dealer usually can get touchup pens and spray but not sure about that color. I'm guessing it would need to be ordered.
