2011 ZL585 HP Whats it worth
Hey guys, I found a dealer that has a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS | ZL585HP | SLP-SUPERHCHARGED Camaro. Its only got about 1000 miles on it. Its priced about 10K cheaper than a ZL1. Do you think these cars will be worth more than the ZL1's in the future?

ZL1 is easily the better car. It's $10k cheaper than a NEW ZL1?

I'd rather have the zl1 cause you get more than motor with it.

Yes is cheaper than a new ZL1, but this car is a 2011 model year and if I remember it has about 1000miles on it

What if the 1000 miles was accumulated 1/4 mile at a time?

That is not always correct - depends on options!!!!
It depends on options - ZL cars from SLP can come with full race suspension, racing brakes, bigger tires and rims, etc. they are also very limited production - SLP does not make more then 250 per year (note that I do not beleive they hit near that number yet). ZL1 cars have already exceed the number of SLP cars on the road in their first year. |

I'd mention a couple of things.
A real ZL1 will be covered by the factory GM warranty. Check to see what the warranty is on the ZL585. A real ZL1 will have the new mag suspension which is awesome all by itself. A real ZL1 coupe also has the 5 factory PTM's. |

The SLP cars carry a full factory warranty. This is not a ZL1 and its not trying to be. In fact, the SLP 5th gens were around before the factory ZL1. SLP does have its own version they an slp ZL1, it has a supercharged 427 cu in motor. Only 69 were produced and its priced over $100k.

I personally love the SLP cars... they are VERY rare around here, and while a ZL1 isn't necessarily commonplace, they are when compared to an SLP ZL585. I love both cars, but have loved the SLP's since the first time I saw one. The ZL1 is more refined, more high-tech rather than just brutally fast, plus it's a factory built car rather than an aftermarket tuner. That might be more appealing to many, but the SLP has an appeal too for what it is, and will always be the much rarer car.

Depends on option the SLP could have full race suspension which is manually adjusted. It is true it does not have the mag suspension. However, my car has the full race suspension and I feel it can be driven daily. Quote:
I had the option to buy the last SLP ZL1 - a little to rich for me, $120k price tag. The brakes were a $10k price - 16 inch two piece rotors front and back. Only time will tell if it would have been a good investment. Note that I do not think a car is an investment - they should be enjoyed!!! |
