16 yr old in Mustang=dent in my Camaro

So, 97' Mustang backed into me at the mall on Friday and come to find out his license is suspended! Now his crap insurance is denying the claim. My insurance will cover it under uninsured motorist, but I will be out 250 bucs for deductible. Man if it wasn't a 16 year old kid I don't know what i'dve done. Anyway, what do you think i should do pay for a new front clip and sue the kids dad for letting him drive the car with no coverage(it was in his dads name) or let my insurance take care of it and risk raising rates?

See if your insurance can sue them or go after thier insurance. Unless you are really well off and or dont want to make any waves or think it could get worse, that kid as well as the father as well really need to learn responsibility.

Ask your insurance company if they will go after him for the deductable if you pay for it initially.. I did this 6 years ago and the person at fault had to pay the insurance company and the insurance company paid me back my deductable

Kid needs to be taught a lesson as well as his father. Sue them for damages.

Press criminal charges against the kid and sue the father. People like this think they can get away with anything and everything, and if no one holds them responsible for their actions, they are right. Make him face the consequences of his actions.

Oh you can believe that I will sue the living he'll out of them! To make it worse the Dad asked me over the phone to tell them that HE was driving! HPD didn't even check the kids ID! I think im going to let my insurance pay and sue them for deductible plus depreciation. Now my car will show up on carfax as being involved in an accident. NOT THAT I WILL EVER SELL IT!!!!!

lol its $250...

Sure some people need to be taught a lesson, but why don't you simply approach the father and ask if he will cover you deductible so you don't have to involve your insurance and things get nasty....

You wouldnt be posting ' lol its 250 ' if that kid ran into your wife or girlfriend..or even child at that point and killed them. especially when he isnt even supposed to be driving... wouldnt be a laughing matter. If he doesnt learn his lesson now. Maybe next time it could be worse!! That's the problem with young kids today, not enough a$$ whoopings anymore!
