I live in South Fl, as you might imagine the sun is very strong. Do you think the vinyl rally stripes will be damaged by sunlight. The sun is so intense that vinyl rope left outside in the sun totally falls apart in 1 year.

I don't think so I used to live in Texas and my grandpa's chevelle had vinyl stripes and they were fine, oh and by the way this was is southern Texas super hot climate and intense sun.

My knee-jerk reaction was to say something sarcastic, but I'll refrain.

There's been a lot of conversation about this, but the general consensus is that automotive vinyl is pretty rigorously tested to withstand exactly the kinds of conditions you're talking about.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I just spoke with this company. Very reputable. They have done many vinyls and restoration vinyl kits. They are located in Phoenix. Chris over there said there will not be a problem as the stripes now are treated with UV protection and should last many years even in the Arizona sun. I may have them do the Bumble Bee style stripes for me in gloss black.
