Reading the new Hot Rod mag. Dodge is offering a drag race package for the Challenger........It's a body in white, weighing around 3,200 pounds with 3 motor options (5.7, 6.1 and 5.9) Cost will be in the 30k range. The test mule ran in the 10.50's. The only draw back will be that there are no vins just a serial plate under the hood.......Building 100 of them.....

How cool would this be to have a Camaro like this....

I think I read that one of them was 3000 -3100 pounds. stripped. great price too.

I heard dodge was bringing some special race edition challenger to my local drag strip today and tomorrow for this big meet or something it might be this car idk if i head over there ill try to snap some pics for ya

I'm pretty sure on the perfect day at the perfect track (at sea level) I could run 10.9
but I'm 600hp!
So unless they are blowing that package 10.5 would mean the planets were in perfect alignment or something.

Well how much do you way in your gto compared to chally it lost a lot of weight its around the corvette weight now

about 3900...still....10.5 is an atco run...downhill on a short track with a head start.

Believe it.. You want to know why?

Its bascially nothing but a rolling chasis that includes frame/engine/body panels/wheels.

You have to add brakes, lines, fluids, glass, seats, steering components, gas tank, electrics, cooling, etc....

Its nothing more than a shell and you add your stuff so the chances are anything you see will be soo custom its MADE to run that fast. A bunch of chally guys where going on and on about getting one, then we poked it in that it can't be registered for the road AT ALL and that shut them up.
