Kooks Headers Dyno Results (video)

We just installed and tested a set of Kooks 1 7/8" Headers with Off Road Connection Pipe. The car already had the Corsa on it. These are the results with no tune.

wow....pretty impressive gains even considering the fact that the car is using the stock tune....

i guess i can look forward to some great performance upgrades even sticking with the stock tune (on account of the warranty being voided with a new tune)

what most impresses me is not the peak gain...which is nice...but the consistent gain across the entire powerband

Correct peak to peak gains are nice but power under the curve is what matters!

Like to see what racecats do to the results.

I'd like to see AFRs added to the graph to see how the stock tune looked.

Also, what did you do about CEL from the rear O2 sensors? Just ignored it I presume?

That's extremely loud without cats to boot.

Car is loud. But that is what the customer was going for.

CEL were tuned out via HP tuners. AFR with the cold air headers and cat back were lean for such a heavy car 12.90 to 13.30. After the tune it was 12.20 across the board.

Off Road Connection Pipe vs catalytic converters ??

Does the off road connection pipe provide anything beneficial over cats ?

More noise, less restriction therefore less power robbed

some prefer the smell of a non-catted engine....although when you actually find out what the cat removes, you might not want to breathe it in anymore...lol

so yea, mainly more power to the wheels with no cats
