new exhaust for camaro ZL1

I have a new camaro ZL1 2014. i really like the current exhaust on the zl1. but i really want more exhaust sound. I looked up a few exhaust systems online and found a few for below 2000 dollars, not sure if that gives the maximum exhaust boom i am looking for. Please suggest whats good for my car and also suggest any places that you know who do the installs in the bay area.

Thanks in advance guys ...

You could always get a controller to open the flaps when you want them open. I really like Corsa exhaust if you are going to swap it out.

Just put headers on it and you'll get plenty of boom.

If he can live with a check engine light the cheapest would be JBA catless mids. After that headers. If he tunes it, it won't have a powertrain warranty anymore if something catastrophic happens due to GM corporate wanting to see the tune. I waited until I had 6000 hard driven miles on mine before putting headers on a tuning it. That being said, with headers and no cats my car is stupid loud with the flaps open.

if you have a zl1 i am sure money is not that much of a issue. not saying you have a money tree but the car is 65 thousand dollars. go kooks headers with the full cat back.

Thank you Jon. I really liked the Kooks exhaust with cat backs than corsa. Trying to find some decent shops that can make this happen in bay area ...

Hello Sir,

Thank you for the advice. I really like the kooks exhaust with cat backs ... i looked it up online and think this is what i thought you were referring to

2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS/ZL1 1 7/8" x 3" Headers And Catted Connection Pipes 6.2L

I have a question though. When i selected this product to "add to cart", it showed me

2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS/ZL1 1 7/8" x 3" Headers And Catted Connection Pipes 6.2L which is 1600 with taxes,

also, what i found is there is a recommended product just below this and i was wondering if i should buy this as well and not sure since it says only for SS model of camaro.

2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS 3" Cat Back Exhaust 6.2L

here is what you would do call maryland speed they will tell you exactly what you need. i would not buying headers for my zl1 with out talking to them. they have cornered the market when it comes to kooks. you will not find it cheaper anywhere else. here is the number 443-730-9428. good luck and let me know how you made out

JDP Motorsports has good deals on Kooks. I bought mine there.
The customer service was excellent.

if you want a ton of volume the cats will have to go.

look at

1. stainless works
2. kooks
3. corsa
4. bolra
5. billy boat

I will run the stainless works if I ever want a different catback. the stock catback is very lout fuse pulled with no cats. the sound is not as good though as some aftermarket IMO.

Try the fuse pull first, it's free and might be what you are looking for. Then offroad mid pipes if you want to keep stock manifolds and go lower cost. (With check engine light)

Cheers,
Chris
