Is 2.0 60' respectable on street tires?
Hey guys,
I want to get a feel for what most guys run on street tires. I have a 2010 /Camaro SS M6 with an AfE CAI, TSP 1 7/8" long tubes with cats, and a tune from a non-forum supported vendor. Other than that, it's 100% stock with 42k miles. I have stock sized mickey Thompson STREET COMP tires. I am not a great drag driver. I go to the track once every couple years. I want to start going more. Last night, I made 8 passes, and I was averaging 2.0-2.1 60' times. I had a couple sloppy 2.0-2.3 times, due to me dumping the clutch and burning through first. Overall I was pretty consisted at 12.7 - 12.9 at 111mph. Is this normal for a car like mine? Should I be faster out of the gate on street tires? My launch technique was to rev to 3000-3200rpm, and quickly feather out the clutch on the 3rd amber light. I would generally bog very very slightly, from 100-300rpm, then hook through first, and scratch 2nd when I shifted. My rear tires were at 28psi.

2.0 is the break over point to good times on hard radials.
Fastest I've been is 1.71 but that's th400 swap. Manual I can get 1.9s
